Hotel La Pirogue

Hello all!

We're going to be in mauritius in july for two weeks. We've chosen la Pirogue since we heard that at that time of year the west coast is better and the sunsets are amazing... However, it would be nice to hear comments on the hotel. I hear it has been recently refurbished? Has anyone been there now? How is the service, the food, the beach??

Also our friends will be getting married there, has anyone experience from weddings in la Pirogue?

By the way: even though its winter in July, I hope the weather is still warm enough for sun bathing???

Hi,

we stayed at sugar beach hotel in february. As it is next to la pirogue, we often went to the bar of la pirogue in the evening. We prefered the music at la pirogue I can not tell you about the rooms, but the garden is very nice. Also the "houses" look pretty from outside. The beach is great and the sunset is beautiful. You have a great choise of different watersport-activities. They are almost all complimentary.
