holiday during November - february

Postby ellen » Fri Mar 11, 2005 15:15

Hello and greetings from a cold Finnish winter.

My husband and I are planning a vacation in Mauritius during Nov 05 - feb 06. We first planned to stay by Flic en Flac & Grand Baie area but I heard that during that time it will be extremely hot on the west & north coast.
As we are not SO keen on hot weather & would welcome some refreshing wind, I wonder if east/south coast would be any better in that sense?

Would also be very grateful for hotel recommendations (we are a youthful couple of 50 yrs). :-)

hi ellen!
hotel recommendations are very difficult, as it is a question of price.
in the east you have normaly more wind. but in nov. it's a good climate, so not too hot.
hope it helps
regards

Hello Ellen,

I have been in Flic en Flac 05. - 18.11.2004 . In this time the temperatures were realy ok. I can not remember that there was one single day which was too hot . Also there was always a slight wind on the beach . We stayed in the Hilton, which is very nice and I can propose.

Lovely greetings from germany, where the spring started

Hello Ellen,

its me again, what I forgot to mention, All the other hotels in Wolmar area made a very good impression as p.e.g. the Sugar beach resort or the Sofitel.
7 years ago I visited the Berjaya Le Morne, also a very nice place, which I can propose. But however, deciding for Mauritius is never a mistake

You are right the north and west coast are very hot in summer time which means when you want to go to mauritius
