I spent a couple of nights at the Ambre last November. The hotel is not bad but also it's not great. There was some parts of the hotel which looked very tired however it is well situated at Belle Mare beach. As with all Mauritian hotels you will get good service. The food is not bad especially if you like Indian cuisine.
Thank you for your review. I am sure that I can put up with the tired parts of the hotel, I will just have to look out of the window and look at paradise.
Were you there on holiday or do you regulaly go for work? If holiday did you do anything that you would recommend I don't miss?
Fortunately I went for holiday Ambre offer lots of activities everyday. They have a daily timetable of what to do. Some of the beach facilities are free. The hotel do offer excursions around island if you wish, but you will have to pay for these.
I can't wait for my holiday to arrive. Less than 2 weeks to go.....
I have heard that the walk with lions and swimming with dolphins are 2 great trips so I think I will be doing these trips.
thanks for your comments.
