Hi George,

The area around the Le Morne is VERY QUIET - to say the least. Just a few hotels and a golf course. You'll need transportation (Taxi, Bus) to get somewhere. Look at the map (here: http://www.gov.mu/portal/goc/file/Mauritius_web.pdf ) bottom left corner - you'll see the Le Morne area and the closest villages - which are a bit away.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Stony

yes the berjaya is osilated from the rest of the island and it will take you about one hour and a half to go to Grand Bay the hub of entertainment. In Black river they have a little club that has just opened and very jazzy and very cool, you can always try them and around it a couple of retaurants and bar. If you wnat some more info you can contact me on hq@tungsten.net.au
Cheers,
Ian

helo
if you have already bookt you have to live with it it's very remote, to have nichtlife and restaurants you should be in the north grand baie, pereybere area .to move around in the evening with so many people from that area is a bit of a problem .it is very windy there is the surfing spot from mauritius.
hope you have fun
