Weather in Feb

Hi there,

I am due to go on holiday to Mauritius in February (Wolmar, west coast) and am now a bit concerned that it is going to rain non-stop for 2 weeks! Any advice appreciated on what weather I am likely to expect!

The temperature on the coastal areas varies between 22°C in winter and

34°C in summer. The sea temperature varies between 22°C and 27°C.

In the central part of the island, the maximum daytime temperature

varies from about 19°C in August to about 26°C in February. The western

and northern regions are warmer and relatively drier than the East and

the South.

I don't recall Mauritius having rain non stop for 2 weeks (I mean in my 22

years of existence) and I don't think its going to happen this February. The

worst case scenario might be 2 days rainfall. Just hope that there won't be

tropical cyclones. February marks both the end of summer and eventually

the cyclonic period as well.

I have been twice in Jan and weather was great except 2002 rain winds for two days then wonderful as the man said go relax and enjoy

No worries at all. It might rain. Max 2 days and you will be happy as it takes heat off. Bad luck if cyclon comes. Last was 2002. So they might be due for one now. I will go anyway in Feb.
