sports - squash

Postby peterr » Sun Mar 07, 2010 15:40

Hello Everyone!

I'm looking someone to play squash at this beautiful place.

Cany anyone tell me where can I find squash corts? I was googling a little but didn't found any useful answers.

I'm intermidiate, playing over 2 years, staying in La Goulette so courts somewhere near wold be great. I will be here for 3 more weeks so if you're also into squash please contact me :)

Peter.

Hi as what I heard from my wife there is a new squash court opened in Ebene - Reduit but not sure. A colleague from her is playing too.
Will keep you posted when she wakes up. I'd love to play, did some years ago, when the years had a 19 instead of a 20 at the beginning. So I am a bit rusty in this. If you are not too good maybe we can meet.
Any idea where I can get a decent racket and not a dip net? [biggrin]

I'm very glad to read this information! :-)
I think we can give it a try. So I'm wating for your wife to wake up.
I can't help you with racket - I took my old one for this holidays just in case I will find some squash corts.
They don't sell them at squash cort's desk? they sould have. At least rent for game?

Hi,

her colleague is playing at the racing club. This place is located in Trianon, behind Mr Bricolage. But you have to be member there. The one I was talking of will be in Ebene in the near future. So if you search squash just for a holiday it looks not too good at the moment.

hi,

That's second one. Today I've been at Le Tamier at Flic en Flac to ask about squash - google told me that they have corts. Nice lady at desk told me that I have to rent villa to use squash corts [cry5]

Any other suggestions?
I've been at Mauritius Squash Rackets Association website but also no information for non members.
Beer goes to person that will point me out open sqash corts at west side :-)

Maybe now we are at the point where you should think about this business idea here in MRU :wink) . Squash for all.

Generally I thought about this in my country but branded corts are quite expensive and transporting them to MRU would probably double their price ;-) Besides I'm just simple webprogrammer on holidays :-)

I've found Mauritius Gymkhana Club but same as the rest - membership required [cry5]

Google says something about Dodo Club that they have courts but I can't find their website.

Yesterday I saw this number at the roadside in Belle Rose or Rose Belle (just before Rose Hill when coming from Albion), 7587731. Was a sign for a Squash court but as I heard from my wife's colleague is this place already closed. Maybe you can give it a try. (Maybe at least the infrastructur is still there so you can open your own one) [good]
