Snorkeling

Beitragvon Deia » Mi Mär 28, 2007 18:46

Flight tickets booked! Just need some where to stay. We are choosing between Mont Choisy and Blue Bay.
Which has the best snorkeling from the beach of those two?
Is weather in Blue Bay nice in end of November?

Blue Bay has more facilities for snorkelling I would believe.

Mont Choisy is nearest to Grand Baie, offering the best nightlife for tourists.

Anyway...its like you're comparing 2 precious stones.

"Whenever I see Pizza toppings from 2 different advertised types that I like, I often design my own pizza to include both of them and thus (that explains how bubbly I am right now) reaching a compromise."

Think about it.

Thank you ud.
Yes, we consider staying in two different places. Le Morne looks really beautiful. We might start there for a couple of days.
Then we choose between Mont Choisy and Blue Bay. As snorkling is a top priority rather than nightlife it looks like B.B. is the place. :ploppop Weather conditions in November wouldn’t be a problem on the easter cost… or?

Greetings :-)

Well the East Coast is reputed for being Windy.
But since you're snorkelling and under water it shouldn't be a problem I guess.

November supposingly should be alright as it is more or less the beginning- mid of Summer. Most of the cyclones formed in the region and affected us quite a lot with rainy days were in January-February this year you see. Weather is unpredictable and we can only hope for the best.

Do you not fancy some Kite Surfing or Parachuting?!?!?! You should try it. i:()

Blue Bay

Beitragvon MmeTortue » Sa Mär 31, 2007 13:17

Hello Deia,

Living in Mahebourg I'm quite often at Blue Bay, even sometimes snorkelling although I live here, and as you know at home you never do the things you enjoy when your on holiday...

November is a wonderful month to come to the South East (although I feel it's always wonderful here... maybe with the exception of February when it's sometimes raining nonstop for hours and days). So congratulations on your choice!

Hi, dont let the wind deter you go to the east coast its superb for snorkelling. The beach at palmair is easy to get to and great snorkelling. 1 warning BY SOME RUBBER SHOES loads of sea urchins everywhere. Perfect way to ruin a good holiday!
