Hi,

I already booked my honeymoon in March (29) in Les Pavillions, do you think it is safe to go to Mauritius now ?

Is there any safe place at all?
I am here in Mauritius and I feel safe.

Didn't mean it this way, I meant are things back to normal with the water.

You are right about any place not really safe these days.

How about the weather in late March, early April. What should I bring to wear at that time ?

Hi telerian, the effects of the tsunami were so very minor here in mauritius, many people inland did'nt even know what happened and by the time they did, all was back to normal.. No big waves, no reported structural damage, just a surge of the tides and some excess seaweed left on the beaches which was cleaned up by the 3rd day, and very efficiantly too.

The weather is not quite as hot as between Nov-Feb but it will still be hot enough for a great holiday March/April. Travel light, dont bother with toiletries and extras that are likely to weigh you down. Just bring a hat, shorts, T-shirt and something carry your essentials around in (i.e water & stuff). The rest you can buy here (even the bag!). You'll be glad of the extra space in your luggage when you're leaving here because if you look about you'll find some great bargains! :ploppop

Bon Voyage and 'ave it LAAAAAAARGE!
