Hi,

I am Italian and will be in short in Mauritius for my honeymoon. Can you tell if it is worth to buy a new SIM card to make phone calls or directly call from a telephone box ?

It depends on how long you are staying for and how much you need to contact others and vice versa. Last time I was there an Emtel SIM cost RS250, with RS200 worth of calls included. The shops are likely to ask you for some sort of ID (passport) before they will sell you the SIM card.

Thank you for the information. I will be staying there for 2 weeks and calling maybe everyday but for quite short times. What do you suggest me ? If I will buy a new card, where can I find it ?
