I am going to Mauritius for the first time in January. Now I am woundering how to keep in touch with the family home in Sweden. Using my cell phone with my swedish phonecomany is very expensive. Can I get a Mauritian cash mobilephone "card" and use that? And what would that cost?

Cost of callin to Finland exmpl ( I suppose same price to Sweden) is
approx 15 Rupees/ min. ( less than 40 cents in Euros).....So don´t use
Your Swedish card....

That price is Orange´s prepaid card price, Emtel don´t know.....

Have a great time here,

Buy a local sim card, you'll need to produce some sort of official ID, like a passport. It's relatively cheap. You can buy top up cards from most retailers/shops in the island. AFAIR, there are only 2 choices for your provider.
