a little advice

for our english speaking user.

a little advice

Postby gail » Sat Nov 25, 2006 2:57

Hi all,

I am planning to travel to Mauritius for the first time next year. Thinking of booking the Pointe Aux Biches on the north west side of the island and wondered if anyone had any expereince or info.

But more so, and apologies in advance as I know this has been well mentioned, I would be really glad of any info or reassurance regarding weather. Planning to travel in mid September, I have read weather sites and am aware of seasons etc. But just put simply, could anyone confirm that I will be able to laze away by the pool, on the beach and dip in and out of the sea happily during the days? The odd cloud and a cardy at night is no probs, so long as I can laze on a lounger with a cocktail for a few hours during the day.

Can anyone put a girls mind at ease?

Many Thanks

Gail

Hmmm what kind of reassurance do u want?

Nobody can predict the weather even the damn weather forecasts are

sometimes wrong

Most people on this forum who have already been in Mauritius have posted
about the weather e.t.c.

The webcam definetely shows you the weather here and then....

The West North Westerly region are normally the drier regions

There are no cyclones in September as it marks the transition to Summer

As I've said before the worst case scenario might be 2 days rain.

Regards

I guess nobody can help you on this

little advice

Hi Felix,

Thanks for your response. Haven't booked this break yet, but just wanted advice from someone familiar with Mauritius as a final check that September would provide the opportunities for sunbathing and swimming for the most part. Obviously some cloud, rain and cooler evenings is fine and expected also long as it is likely that I will get a decent dose of warmth and sun. Can you offer any experience

Thanks again

Gail
