Hi Vina,

I guess you're not looking for a Bungalow. You're looking for an accomodation for your grandmother on long term. Does she need care as well? If so - there is sometimes ads like that in the papers, but of course right today not. If I see it I will post contact here. If not, you may contact Busy World Agency Ltd. Mr. Laval Savreemootoo, Tel. 424-5648

He's quite friendly and always helpfull. He might be able to offer you something suitable.

Regards

Michael

Michael, thank you I will try to your contact - is there a publication - like properties for rent - I have downloaded newspapers but there are not many properties on there. My grandmother is stubborn and is refusing help otherwise I would invite her to stay with me in england but any information on what care is availble would be helpful - she does not have many family living close by.

Generally any information anyone can give me would be a start. Ideally a one level, property near local amenities, with mod cons such as telephone line, washing machine (or at least plumbing for one), modern bathroom etc in the Beau bassin / rose hill region

thank you for your help.

"Hope alls well with you and the family ;0) we’re all fine here should be in mau in about 8 weeks.. hey I just wondered if u happened to know any places to rent, not too expensive, I think long-term but in Rosehill/ Beau bassin.. It's a favour for a friend’s grandmother who lives in mauritius and needs a place to stay.. no worries if u dont know anywhere just thought i'd ask in case u did.. cheers m8"

Thanks Michael for all your help and interest. I have managed to find their social security offices and have emailed them - my french/creole is not brilliant so I get flustered when I try to speak to them on the phone.

I thinks this is cool - you are also in the uk and I'm emailing you on a mauritian website- fantastic technology!

Have a good evening.

Hi Vina,

Yes it is pretty cool! both speaking from the same place about this beautiful island far far away.

I'm still awaiting a reply from my cousin and will let u know if/when he gets back to me.. it's been a while since my cousin and I have spoken and not sure if he checks his mail regularly. Good luck with the social security offices.. wish i could also speak french/creole or any other language other than english. It'd be nice, plus would also make such things much easier..

Regards,

mike
