Hello & a few questions

Postby InsBro » Wed Apr 09, 2008 17:23

Hello all

Just a couple of questions as were visiting Mauritius in 10 days, I found the answer to quite a few searching the forum.

What type of adapter do we need to convert a UK plug?

Is there anywhere that does power boat rides/charter?

What will the sea temperature be at the end of the month?

Are there any must do restaurants around Le Saint Geran?

thanks

Jez

hey InsBro,

You've missed my article on the Electrical appliance guide. Our grid system is based on UK standards and so are the socket ratings and types @230V, 50Hz....you won't need a converter!

You'll get more info at the hotel with regards to hiring power boats e.t.c as it will have links with nearby ship rental companies.

Sea temperature? I haven't got a clue. The tropical waters are fantastic all year round from my personal experience.

I don't know about the restos. Let's wait for someone to share his/her experiences by adding to this post.

Enjoy your holidays!

Best regards

Hi Jez,

you don't need to worry about the water temperature, it will be very pleasant.
Don't miss to try some of the food that is offered on the streets by locals. They sell typical indian dishes for very small money (like Roti filled with vegetables). They are absolutely enjoyable and you do not need to fear any consequences ;-)
There is a restaurant listing in the forum, but it will be in German. So if you are a little familiar with the German language you will find it by typeing "Restaurantliste" in the search form.

Good luck and have a nice vacation!
Viele Grüße

Tommy

Immer wieder gerne auf Mauritius und im Meer darunter ;-))

Mauritius is predominantly a holiday destination for beach-resort tourists. It possesses a wide range of natural and man-made attractions, enjoys a sub-tropical climate with clear warm sea waters, attractive beaches, tropical fauna and flora complemented by a multi-ethnic and cultural population that is friendly and welcoming. These tourism assets are, its main strength, especially since they are backed up by well-designed and run hotels, and reliable and operational services and infrastructures.
