Beitragvon pjtravel » Di Jan 20, 2009 16:02

Hello

This is my first post here.

Can you tell me when the frangipani blooms on Mauritius - does it have a season? or does it bloom all year round?

Many thanks

PJ

Frangipani

Beitragvon Gerard » Sa Jan 24, 2009 4:40

The longlasting, beautiful blooms of the Frangipani are usually seen in the summer months ( november, december and january ). I have a couple of photographs of these magnificent flowers posted on the Mauritius-Pictures-images section of this site.

Is it called the "goulayeti" or something like that?

I'm quite sure I've heard my grandparents mention this name of a flower..

I might be wrong. Could some1 confirm?

The local expression for Frangipani is 'Chameli'.
