Current climate in Le Morne region?

Postby dt76 » Thu Oct 02, 2008 19:14

I am due to fly to Mauritius on Saturday October 4th. Getting married in Le Morne area next week.

I am a bit concerned as I was told by someone who'd just got back from Mauritius (Le Morne region) that it had rained virtually every day from 18th to 28th September :::(

Is this the 'normal' climate for this time of year or hopefully just a bad patch of weather which has now passed? A Mauritian colleague told me last month that it hardly ever rains on the island. Weather forecast seems to be ok at the moment but they're not always reliable.

Thank you in advance!

Hello dt76,

No worries! The bad patch of weather seems to be over and I have to water my garden again by hand [sigh].

It was quite unusual that we had so much rain in September. Your colleagues were right: normally at this time of the year we do not have so much rain.

So enjoy your trip, have a lovely wedding and a blissfull marriage!
