Born Feet First

Please can someone give me some information on the Mauritian belief that if you were born feet first, you have natural healing powers. Is it true?

I don't know where you've heard that but this is complete bullshit. What you're talking about is actually called "Breech Birth". The baby has a high possibility of being born with anomalies but that's physical and that's a sad thing. It's a possible disability we're talking about and not super powers.

It hasn't got anything to do with healing powers or anything like that!!!

Go read on that...

hmmm...Udester, i have to say , that even me, who has been here only 10 months, have heard that believe , if U born feet first, U have "kind of powers", .....mostly old grandmas r believing such kind of things,...
And, it´s touching me a bit , cause i´ve got my birth feet first :)...

But....never noticed any abnormal powers in me, only after those
Mme Tortues potatoe blogs :) Ha-ha !!

So, my mother in law told me that kind of believes...Of coz it´s
everyones own thing, that believe or not :)

Religions and politics are bit heavy to conversate, they are in your
mind and heart... :)

Wow, powerful replies... I was not referring to abnormalities. I am also born feet first, and all it means is that you are born not in the safest way (head first), just the other way round.

I have heard it mainly from religious and the older generation that it's true. I am a very sceptical person myself, but when I was asked to try healing signs on people in a prayer group (with my foot!) then those people said they felt alot better and one even said he felt some sort of energy being pulled from his belly into the ground at the end.

I'm not sure if this is the placebo effect so I thought I'd research into it.
