Hi All,

Could someone please confirm that Billabong surf clothing is made in Mauritius. If so is there a factory outlet with cheap prices and what sought of prices can you expect to pay ( tshirts , shorts etc etc ) ?.

Thanks

Suzi

Billabong

In (European) summer this year we went to the Billabong factory shop and bought clothes for 6€ (T-shirt and shorts). In the back of this store there is the workshop with about 20 sewers.
The factory store can easily be found. It is situated right hand side at the old street from Port Louis to Quatre Bornes.
Coming from Port Louis Centre you reach the roundabout where you normally enter to Caudan Water Front (first junction), motorway to Plaisance (second junction). You take the third junction and go up the hill for approx. 200 metres, then turn right, and you are on the old highway to Quatre Bornes. You pass some supermarkets, cross a bridge and after some kilometres you can see the huge sign "Factory Store Billabong" on the right hand side on an open field. Directly behind this is the factory shop.

Good Luck!

Hello,
there are is one billabong factory shop in rosr hill and one in quatre borne shoprite shopping center. it is not produced in mauritius but it is overproduction. tshirts for men are between 200 and 400 rs
for girls they have nice skirts and dresses and surfershorts but mostly in bis sizes. the prices are 30 50 or 70 % reduced from the normal price. in the normal billabong shops in port louis and phoenix les halles the prices are the same when it is sale time like at the moment.
i think you can find good prices i bought a lot of clothes...

in rose hill there closed down, the factory shop.
but as you said in shoprite it's a good place.
you get even 2 for 1, but only xl to xxl size.

You might be surprised if I tell you this but I usually purchase Billabong gear on Ebay and they are cheaper and of the same quality.

Wether they are made in Mauritius or (China or any other country) the Ebay pictures usually proves to me that they are of good quality.

£10 or $15 dollar for a Billabong kit is what you would be paying in one of those so called factory shops.

Well, that's my own experience anyway.

Regards
