Affordable long term rental

Beitragvon bobkat » Do Apr 12, 2007 12:30

Hi everyone,
hope you are well.
Can anyone suggest a good immobilier that deals with long term rentals at local prices, not holiday lets?
We have read through he forum postings on this subject but keep finding links to expensive holiday rental prices.
We are an English couple(teachers) looking to rent long term, nothing fancy, just a small house/bungalow and at this stage are prepared to consider anywhere on the island.
Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks,
Bob and Katie.

Rent

Beitragvon MmeTortue » Do Apr 12, 2007 14:01

Hello Bob and Katie,

It would certainly help if you can give an idea where on the island you want to rent: North-west, South-east etc. I'm sure someone might be able to help if they know which region you're looking for to rent a flat or house.

Hi Mme.Tortue,
thank you for the reply,
we are willing to consider anywhere within an hour of a beach,
we have contacts in Vacoas but were hoping to be a little closer to a beach.
Perhaps an immobilier dealing with the area between Vacoas and Flic en Flac.
Any and all help gratefully appreciated,
kind regards,
Bob and Katie.

Hi Bob, Hi Katie

Just wanted to make you realise something....

If you stay in the Middle of the Island, you can reach all the cardinal point beaches in an hour or so!!!!

You have to be more specific than that. I might have something for you at Flic en Flac! Just lemme look for the link and I'll private message it to u!

By the way I would guess that Vacoas is 45 mins from Flic en Flac!

Kind Regards

Thanks Ud,
still coming to terms with the scale of the island,we have checked driving distances and now have a much clearer idea.
We would be very interested in renting a property in Flic En Flac,
our e-mail address is onthebus2@hotmail.co.uk (not sure if this is included in our profile)
Many thanks for your kind help,
regards,
Bob and Katie.

Ramit,

Don't sweat it. Unfortunately, I don't know of any website actually showing properties in the urban areas for rent...as there might not be any.
Its just advertised through local newspapers and although you can get the newspaper off the web, those advertising on properties are not shown online.

I ain't in Mauritius right now but it would be great if someone could put a scan of the newspaper showing list of properties for rent in the region around Port-Louis or Coromandel (nearest to Cassis).

I hope everyone reads this (ADMIN)

Best Regards

Thanks Axel

Didn't know they had that section!

It's in French and it doesn't seem to have properties for rent in the region you mentioned Ramit....L'express that is!

I'll check the Servihoo one later.
