A moderate tropical storm has been named Bejisa by the Meteorological Services of the Malagasy
Republic on 29 December 2013 at 19h00. Bejisa will assume a general southerly to south easterly
trajectory which will bring the centre in the western neighbourhood of Mauritius in the evening of
thursday 02 January 2014.
Gust of the order of 150 km/h is estimated to strike the mauritian coasts in its actual track; this will
reviewed in the light of fresh information.
Rain associated with moderate tropical storms Bejisa will occur as from 31 December 2013 and it
will intensify on wednesday 01 January 2014. The showers will become heavy onwards with
likelihood of floods in strong winds.
