Visit one of the little islands around Mauritius (Ile aux Cerfs, Coin de Mire, Ile Ronde, Ile Ambre and others) or have a look at one of the inner places of interest. You will find more than only sugar cane.
Here a small selection of the nicest and worthiest sites:
- The crater of the extinguished vulcano of Trou aux Cerfs in the heart of Curepipe. Magnificent view over the west coast.
- Seven-Colored-Earth of Chamarel (south). On the way you will see our highest cascade: 90 m – Entry-fees!
- Botanical Garden of Pamplemousses. One of the most beautiful botanical gardens worldwide. North of Port Louis – no entry fees
- Crocodilepark ‚La Vanille’ (south) – beautiful nature - Entry-fees!
- Gris Gris, the southern point of Mauritius – wild water, no reef
- Champ de Mars, more than a horserace in Port Louis. This event takes place every Saturday-afternoon from May to November. A must!
- Domaine Les Pailles: Nature and leisure-park south of Port Louis with excellent restaurants, colonial houses, visit in the past and a nature-park.
- Domaine du Chasseur: hunting of deers, excellent restaurant (southeast)
