Joana Axel

Joana Thomas-Rausch is originally from Beau Bassin in the center of the island. She is married to her German husband Axel Rausch since 1996 (he is in tourism for over 15 years now). Both have just passed the border to 40 and have two kids. Joana has worked over many years in the tourism-sector (hotel) of Mauritius in different positions, Axel is an expert in tour operating and incoming for Mauritius. Both are regularly traveling between Germany and Mauritius.

Anick Stefan

Anick and Stefan Mertes (he was born 1967 in Trier, Germany) are living in the west of the island, Flic en Flac. Stefan came more than 20 years ago to the island. They have als two kids. Stefan has a screen-printing-company in Beau Bassin and an own t-shirt label Mauritius T-Shirts, where Anick is a partner.
